  1. FTPd v2.2.0 and FTPd Setup v2.2.0 is a Macintosh FTP server for Macs
  2. with MacTCP.  FTPd allows other machines on the Internet to FTP or
  3. Gopher to your Mac.  It requires System 7, File Sharing enabled, and 
  4. MacTCP 1.1 (or later).  It honours the Users&Groups privileges and 
  5. passwords, and supports multiple logins, anonymous FTP (user name 
  6. anonymous or ftp), as well as MacBinary and BinHex transfers, and 
  7. the “MACB” FTP command.  It runs either as a background only application,
  8. or as a normal application, displaying the log file.

  10. Changes since v2.1.0 include:
  11. * Option to display file sizes in gopher directory listings
  12. * Support for the TextToSpeach manager
  13. * Support the append (APPE) command
  14. * Support the size (SIZE) command
  15. * Better support for firewalls
  16. * CautionAlert for Server and Far Server privs
  17. * Handle the virtual "." directory
  18. * Support for alex cache servers
  19. * Display JPEG and GIFf files properly in gopher listings
  20. * Support LIST *.hqx so that mget *.hqx works as expected.
